In his book *Glosses on John Cage*, published in 2002 by Desclée de Brouwer, Charles Daniel explores the influence and philosophical and musical legacy of John Cage.
On page 22, Daniel establishes a direct link with Max Neuhaus, positioning him not only as a major interpreter of Cage's percussion and indeterminate works in the 1960s, but also as the artist who carried Cage's ideas beyond the traditional concert hall.
