Just viewed Max's homepage, since we just published a beautiful book on 365 Zeit-An_Sagen, see image and flip book link, in which - of course Max's solo in 1988 at the Ruine der Künste Berlin is mentioned and the postcard of the invitation to it and the text Max wrote.
The piece was called TIME OIECE #1, for the neraby Jesus-Christus-Kirche here in Berlin-Dahlem. He made a colored map drawing of the sound extension in the area and we exhibited, since we could not realize the tower installation - it would have been to expensive - we had ‘only’ 8000 DM -, so we showed the drawing, the text, the LISTEN newspaper print and a leporello set piece as well.
Anyway it was an exhibition to be mentioned in the vita, don't you think.Later on we heard that the same piece idea was realized at Bern.
But TIME PIECE # 1 was fiirst published in 1990 in our book
Wolf Kahlen (über zeit) Die Ruine der Künste Berlin, which we most probably sent to Max then.
Please let us know, if you can add this show to your website and let uns know you mailing address, so we can send the valuable book of the Art By Telephone, for which Max recorded with us a sound piece, which is encluded on a CD of 8 1/" hours telephone broadcast in 1988.
