1971 - “New Works First Published in Source: Music of the Avant Garde,” Perspectives on New Music 9/10, No. 2 (Spring/Summer – Autumn/Winter, 1971).

In the 1971 double issue of Perspectives of New Music, the section "New Works First Published in Source" recognized Max Neuhaus as a pioneer who was effectively "writing" sound into physical space. By re-publishing scores and concepts originally found in Source: Music of the Avant Garde, the journal highlighted Neuhaus’s shift from traditional notation to graphic and instructional scores.
