Max Neuhaus

1961
1961 - Manahattan School of Music: Max Neuhaus Bachelor of Music (1961) and a Master of Music (1963)

He studied percussion under the renowned educator Paul Price, who was a massive influence on his early career. Immediately following his graduation, Neuhaus continued his studies at the same institution, earning his Master of Music (M.M.) just one year later in 1962.
This academic period was the springboard for his transition from a traditional orchestral percussionist to a world-class soloist for avant-garde composers like Pierre Boulez and Karlheinz Stockhausen.
