During the first Zaj Festival, held in Madrid in November and December 1965, percussionist Max Neuhaus performed his version of John Cage's work, Fontana Mix—Feed, on November 27, 1965. The performance took place at the Colegio Mayor Menéndez y Pelayo, at the University of Madrid.
