Percussionist Max Neuhaus participated in the 1965 ONCE Festival in Ann Arbor, Michigan, which ran from February 11–14
. His solo performance included Joseph Byrd's Water Music and Philip Corner's Everything Max Has. In addition, the ONCE Chamber Ensemble performed George Cacioppo's Time on Time in Miracles at the festival
