On May 1, 1966, Max Neuhaus performed John Cage’s 27' 10.554" as part of the Mixed Media Concerts at the Isaacs Gallery in Toronto. The performance was famously reviewed by critic Kenneth Winters in an article titled "In the Corner", published in The Toronto Telegram the following day [May 2, 1966]
