On April 14, 1961, Max Neuhaus performed in a production of Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro at the Opera Theater of the Manhattan School of Music.
While primarily known as a percussionist, Neuhaus contributed to the instrumental ensemble for this operatic production during his final months of undergraduate study.
This performance occurred during a high-activity period at MSM, sandwiched between his avant-garde percussion concerts (such as the March 11th show at Bennett College) and his graduation.
