1963 - Zyklus for One Percussionist. By Max Neuhaus.

In February 1963, Max Neuhaus recorded his landmark realization of Karlheinz Stockhausen’s Zyklus in a New York City studio. This recording was a pivotal moment in his career, as it showcased his innovative "feedback" technique to a global audience via the Wergo label.

Collaboration with Stockhausen: This recording took place shortly before Neuhaus joined Stockhausen's 1964 North American tour. The composer famously approved of Neuhaus's radical electronic interpretation, despite it deviating from the original acoustic intent Soundohm.

CD Reissues: This 1963 Wergo recording has since been reissued on several collections, most notably the 2004 Alga Marghen CD.
